But if I am not in that mood or if I am caught off guard crafting or farming mobs while being attacked, I usually tend to run and avoid the confrontation. But I guess in that situation it may be wise to run since the battle did not start in my favor. Live to fight another day I guess.
If you ask some MMO players of what a carebear is, they would say it’s someone who purposely avoids pvp. But don’t we all at some point avoid pvp? Also what is pvp? I often see a player attack someone who is off guard or is unable to defend themselves, would this be defined as pvp or would it be defined as griefing? If you think about it when there’s risk involved such as losing gear, money, or items, most pvpers, like bullies, only choose fights they know they can win which normally means picking on the little guy. And if players are looking to fight only those who cannot fight back, doesn’t that make them the real carebear? I think the real term carebear can be defined to not only those who avoid pvp but also to those who avoid fighting someone of similar size and strength. They, at least in my eyes are the real carebears.
