Read on to know more about me and this blog!
Hi and welcome to MMO Doghouse -- this blog is all about helping gamers and non-gamers learn about about economics and how it applies to crafting in MMORPGs!
My plan -- to provide useful and easy to understand information on how economics work in the real world, how and why it does or doesn't work in the virtual MMO world, and how crafting can or should play its role in MMOs.
My name is Dominique Edwards, I am 31 years old and have extensive knowledge of economics and a lot of experience in MMORPGs as a crafter, raider, and pvper.
I started my video game experience since the first Atari followed by the Nintendo back in the mid 1980s. In the mid 1990s I began my MMO experience with games such as Ultima Online, Final Fantasy 11, World of Warcraft, Eve Online and etc.
My knowledge of economics begin with high school all to way up to college. But a majority of my knowledge stems from books, such as, Peter Schiff's "How an Economy Grows and Why It Crashes", James Rickards "Currency Wars" and "The Death of Money".
However, these are just a small example of my library of books on economics.
I started blogging in 2011 with a cartoon animation site as a past hobby. Lately, I decided I wanted to create a site that was less amateurish and could provide great information for readers and came up with MMO Doghouse.
Therefore, it is with great hope that viewers receive valuable information in regards to economic theories, economic history, and how they apply to crafting and the virtual economy in MMOs.
